TAN SRI DR NGAU BOON KEAT
TAN SRI DR NGAU BOON KEAT is the Chairman, Co-Founder and Trustee of MyKasih Foundation. He co-founded Dialog Group Berhad (DIALOG) in 1984 and is a major shareholder and Executive Chairman of DIALOG. He is also the Chairman of Pengerang Independent Terminals Sdn. Bhd. He is a Board member of Johor Petroleum Development Corporation Berhad since 2012 and a Trustee of the Yayasan Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan Malaysia (“Yayasan MySDG”) since 2021.
He holds a Bachelor Degree (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering and an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
He began his career in 1972 as a Refinery Engineer with Mobil Singapore Pte Ltd. He worked at Petronas Malaysia from 1975 to 1980 where he held various positions from Production Engineer to Engineering Manager. He has more than 50 years of working experience in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
TAN SRI DATO’ SERI MEGAT NAJMUDDIN BIN DATO’ SERI DR HJ MEGAT KHAS
TAN SRI DATO’ SERI MEGAT NAJMUDDIN BIN DATO’ SERI DR HJ MEGAT KHAS was appointed as a Trustee of MyKasih Foundation in September 2009. He is also a trustee of the Vijayaratnam Foundation and an Advisor of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Charity Golf. He is currently the President of Persatuan Darul Ridzuan in Wilayah Persekutuan and Selangor (a welfare organisation).
He obtained his Honours Degree in Law from University of Singapore in 1970. He retired from law practice in 1986 and became active in politics until 1995. He was the President of the Federation of Public Listed Companies Berhad (“FPLC”) in 1997 and the President of Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (“MICG”) from April 1998 till 2015. He is presently the Honorary Patron of MICG and a member of Transparency International Malaysia (TIM).
He was a member of the High Level Finance Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Capital Market Advisory Council of the Securities Commission (“CMAC”), the 2nd National Economic Consultative Council (“NECC2”) and the Central Bank’s Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (“CDRC”). He sat on Bursa Malaysia’s (previously known as KLSE) Listing Committee for 10 years. He served as a Non-Executive Independent Director of PETRONAS from April 2010 to April 2017 and chaired the Board’s Risk and Governance Committee. He was a member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Financial Directors’ Education (“FIDE”) Steering Committee and Advisory Board of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”).
In 2018, he resigned from his Chairmanship of Omesti Berhad (formerly Formis Resources Berhad), Tradewinds Corporation Berhad and MajuPerak Holdings Berhad. He is currently the Chairman of Green Venture Capital Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), Asian Pac Holdings Berhad and SEG International Berhad.
TAN SRI DATUK DR REBECCA FATIMA STA MARIA
TAN SRI DATUK DR REBECCA FATIMA STA MARIA was appointed a Trustee of MyKasih Foundation on 22 January 2010.
She began her career in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1981 and served in various capacities in the then Ministry of Trade and Industry (MITI) until her retirement in 2016.
The former MITI Secretary-General joined DIALOG Group Berhad as an independent non-executive director in November 2022. She is also an Executive Director of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Secretariat, a role she took in 2019.
She also holds directorship in Sunway Bhd, RHB Bank Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd and Eco World International Bhd. She also serves as a trustee of Yayasan Hartalega.
In the academic field, she was awarded the Malcolm Knowles Award for the best PhD dissertation in April 2000 in the field of Human Resource Development by the American Academy of Human Resource Development. She was also awarded “Professional Achievement Awards by School of Education, University of Georgia (2013). She has a Masters degree in Counselling from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelors degree (Hons.) in English Literature from the University of Malaya.
DATUK YAACOB BIN MD AMIN
DATUK YAACOB served the Polis DiRaja Malaysia for more than 33 years in various capacities. He was the Director of Criminal Investigation Department with the rank of Commissioner of Police prior to his retirement. He was an Independent and Non-Executive director of Khee San Berhad from 2002 – 2007 and also an Executive director of Furqan Business Organisation Berhad previously.
Datuk Yaacob was a member of the Advisory Council of MyKasih Foundation since the setting up of MyKasih in 2009. He was later appointed on the Board of Trustees of MyKasih Foundation on 30th August 2012. He is actively involved in the launching of the MyKasih programmes in Malaysia.
DATO’ HO KAY TAT
DATO’ HO KAY TAT was appointed as a Trustee of MyKasih Foundation in September 2009. He is the Publisher and Group Chief Executive Officer of The Edge Media Group, with over 30 years of experience in journalism and the media industry.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Science (Hons.) majoring in Political Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He started out at the New Straits Times group back in the 80s reporting extensively on Malaysian politics. Subsequently, he joined the Kuala Lumpur bureau of Reuters to cover economic, corporate and money market news before moving on to be the KL correspondent for Singapore Business Times in 1994.
Since joining The Edge in 1996 as the editor, he was then appointed Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief in 2005. In 2010, Dato’ Ho took up the post of Group Managing Director with Star Publications (M) Bhd which he held for two years. Following which, he returned to The Edge Media Group.
DATIN NAZRIN ANEEZA BINTI NAZARUDDIN
DATIN NAZRIN ANEEZA served as an Advisory Council Member of MyKasih Foundation since its inception in 2009 and was recently appointed on the Board of Trustees in 2018. She is currently serves as the Vice President of PETRONITA, an association for wives and female employees of PETRONAS which conducts numerous educational and charitable community development programmes for the poor. Her vast experience in strategizing, planning and executing community-based programmes to empower vulnerable communities and transition them towards better socio-economic standing compliments the efforts of MyKasih Foundation.
DATUK BADLISHAM GHAZALI
Datuk Badlisham Ghazali was appointed to the Board of the MyKasih Foundation on August 2, 2010. He resigned from the Board in 2014 to serve Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad as Managing Director and Non-independent Director until 2018, before being re-appointed as Trustee of MyKasih Foundation on June 30, 2020.
A Malaysian, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) from 2006 to 2014. Prior to MDeC, he was with Hewlett-Packard (HP) Malaysia for 18 years where he was the Director and Country General Manager of HP Technology Solutions Group (TSG).
He holds a B.Sc Degree majoring in Computer Science from the University of Northern Illinois, USA and Diploma in Computer Science from Mara Institute of Technology, Malaysia. Datuk Badlisham is a Member of the Ministry of Education’s Cluster School Advisory Board and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation’s (MOSTI) National Science Centre Advisory Board.
DATO’ SRI IDRIS JALA
Dato’ Sri Idris Jala was appointed on the Board of Trustees of MyKasih Foundation on 23 February 2023. Currently the President and Chairman of PEMANDU Associates, he was previously CEO of PEMANDU – a delivery unit within the Prime Minister’s Department in Malaysia tasked with spearheading Malaysia’s transition towards high-income status by 2020. During his tenure, he had also served as a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for 6 years and later as an Advisor to the former Prime Minister.
As a Minister and Economic Advisor to the PM, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala sat on various high level strategic economic committees such as the Economic Council (EC) chaired by the Prime Minister. In addition, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala was also on the board of InvestKL and Malaysia Petroleum Resource Corporation (MPRC).
Prior to his Government stint, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala was Managing Director/CEO at Malaysia Airlines (MAS) for 3 years. Before MAS, he spent 23 years at Shell, ascending the ranks to hold senior positions including Vice President, Shell Retail International and Vice President, Business Development Consultancy, based in the UK.
Today, while helming PEMANDU Associates, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala also sits on the Sarawak Economic Action Council (SEAC). He is also the member of the Advisory Council for the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM). In addition, Dato’ Sri Idris serves as Chairman of Heineken Malaysia Berhad and Co-Chairman of Sunway Berhad and the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation.
His is as an Expert Resource Speaker at the Harvard Health Leaders’ Ministerial Forum and a Visiting Fellow of Practice at Oxford Blavatnik School of Government.
DATUK OH CHONG PENG
DATUK OH CHONG PENG was appointed on the Board of Trustees of MyKasih Foundation on 10 April 2023.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
He was a senior partner of Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers), Malaysia (1974-1997). His past appointments include being a Government appointed member of Bursa Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) (1990-1996) and member of its Listing Committee (2008-2009); a Government appointed member of Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (2003-2009); and a Council Member (1981-2003), a past president (1994-1996) of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants; a trustee of Huaren Education Foundation (1993-2009); Chairman of Labuan Financial Services Authority, was a Board member prior to appointment as Chairman in 2018 (1996-2020); and a Director of Powertek Berhad (1997-2003); Rashid Hussain Berhad Group of companies (1998-2003); UEM Land Berhad (formerly known as Renong Berhad) (2001-2003); Nanyang Press Holdings Berhad (2001-2005); Land & General Berhad (1999- 2007); Rohas Eucos Industries Berhad (2007-2008); Huaren Holdings Sdn Bhd (1987-2009); Star Publications Berhad (1987-2009); IJM Corporation Berhad (2002-2012); IJM Plantations Berhad (2003- 2012); Alliance Financial Group Berhad (2006-2016), British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad (1998-2019) and Dialog Group Berhad (2009- 2020).
His directorships in other public companies include WCE Holdings Berhad, Malayan Flour Mills Berhad, PUC Berhad and Saujana Resort (M) Berhad. He is also a trustee of the UTAR Education Foundation.
